The AVA is the National Trade Association for the Vending Industry.
It only offers membership to companies who achieve AVA Quality System accreditation.
The AVA has developed a Quality System very similar to the principles of ISO 9001 and ensures consistency of service and operation by member companies.
The areas covered by the Quality System are all customer-focused and include Customer Care, Contracts, Document Control, Corrective Action, Operational Control, Purchasing of Stock, Depot Hygiene Control and Training.
In order to become and remain a full member, the Vending Operator must achieve AVA Quality Assured Status. This means they have demonstrated to the satisfaction of professional quality assessors that they consistently provide services which conform to the contractual requirements of their customers and all regulatory authorities.
To ensure member companies maintain this standard, they are subject to annual inspection and recertification. These inspections are not limited to paperwork. They extend to accompanying service engineers, merchandisers and operators on their rounds to make sure that day on day they consistently deliver what their company has promised.
